I have found that there are some very CHEAP dual core Xeons listed on eBay for about $10+ with free shipping and I searched those and wouldn't you know it. Īnother thing I do to see if the CPU I am considering is supported is go to eBay and search "T7400 E5420" or "T7400 X5450" etc and if you find a T7400 listed as having that CPU then you are most likely OK. Recertified by professional technicians, tested, used. Either way, I'm really surprised that nobody has a Dell T7400 that's tried this graphics-riser out. Velocity Tech Solutions has the Dell RW203 for sale and available for same day shipment. I was guessing because of another post in the threads, that it was certainly a 5400B, but now I'm not so sure.
Really disappointing Maybe it's not a 5400B but a 5400X. I got this from Dell Chat (which doesnt list my current CPU: The T7400 motherboard, unfortunately, has no nVidia stuff on it :(. but I can't get Dell to give me a comprehensive CPU compatibility list either!! I have a T7400 with a n Intel Xeon E5420 and it runs nice but I want to get the best matched pair of CPU's I can afford, AND look at all the options on Craigslist and eBay. I am a Dell "Gusher" but recently I've also become disheartened by Dell's lack of ability to provide CPU compatibility lists for some of their machines, specifically this one!!
